There are five applications of force influencing the degree of crushing such as breaking, splitting, squashing, grinding and impact. When the breaking force plays a leading role in crushing, the bending strength becomes the main factor influencing degree of crushing. When splitting force works, the materials’ tensile strength will influence degree of crushing. And when materials are crushed by squashing force, the degree of crushing will change because of compression strength. Besides, it is necessary to consider that if materials’ shearing strength can satisfy crushing process when grinding force is main force, which can avoid the phenomenon that crush overly.
