Bentonite is widely used in the construction industry, mainly used in paints, building materials and other field.
Bentonite is a newly developed coating raw material. Calcium bentonite has good result in architectural coating, melamine paint and Latex paint filler or additive. Bentonite has the features of film property, ion exchange ability and agglutination. It can be exchanged with the organic ions in the coating organic film-forming material, to form composite coating, which increase the consistency of the paint, but also play the role of suspension and anti-settling.
Bentonite is used to produce light wall materials, increase strength, reduce bulk density. It has strong water absorption, can make the original soil volume expansion, is effective sealing material. In addition, bentonite is also used for fireproofing material, ceramics industry and so on.
