The specifications of impact crusher can be adjusted in order to change the particle size composition and quality of final product.
Firstly, rotor speed or diameter can be adjusted. Increasing the speed of impact crusher’s rotor or increasing its diameter at the same speed can increase the kinetic energy of stones, prolong the grinding time and increase the crushing rate and capacity.
Secondly, stone supply can be adjusted. The distributor of impact crusher can control and adjust the ratio of spilled material and fed material, and it can also change the particle size composition of the product. When the speed of rotor is constant, adjusting the opening of distributor can increase the overflow supply of stones and limit the collision movement of stone in the crushing chamber. It can also shorten the residence time of stone particles in the crushing chamber, and improve the passing capacity.
Thirdly, raw stones’ gradation can be adjusted. When the rotor and required specifications of finished product are fixed, the size of finished product will be affected by changing the size of feeding materials. If the feeding size is small, the finished product size will also be small, and if the feeding size is large, the finished product size will also be large. Therefore, suitable raw stones can be supplied according to suitable specifications of finished products.
